Guten Morgen

6:13 A.M. is a bit early too be up eh? Well if you fall asleep at 10 it is not so weird.

Rangers won last night against the filthy Islanders. I watched the whole game and loved what I saw. They won 4-1 and it could have even been a larger margin than that. Sean Avery's goal was my favorite. Marek Malik passed it towards center ice and Avery deflected it in. He would score again on an empty net late in the game. Ranger goals came from Brendan Shanahan, Sean Avery (2) and Scott Gomez.

Rangers are on fire. They are now in 6th place, 2 points ahead of the Bruins and 3 ahead of the Flyers. Toronto beat Boston 8-2 last night, hehe. Ottawa is only 2 points ahead in 5th and the Devils are only 3 points ahead in 4th. The Penguins hold the division lead and are only 4 points ahead. How awesome would it be if we go from fighting for a playoff spot to the 1 seed in the East? It is not far off. Especially since we are 8-0-3 in the last 11. Big game against the Bruins on Sunday at MSG.

US Women take on Italy in their second Algarve Cup match. I will recap that for American Soccer Daily later in the day.

Red Bull New York defeated Red Bull Salzburg 3-2 in an exhibition yesterday. For some odd reason they played 85 minutes. theredmenace explained it well on MetroFanatic by saying "It's the exchange rate, the dollar is shit right now." Ángel, Sassano and Magee scored for Metro in a comeback where they were down 2-0.

Trialist Lidor Marmol is out for 6 weeks with a hamstring injury. Red Bull and Chicago are interested in him. Chicago is only interested because they have a bullshit discovery claim on him and know we want him so they want to get back at us for taking Osorio.

In other news Blogger's ability to save drafts is incredible. I just accidentally closed this but it was all saved.
